功能與作用機制

FGF-4是一種有效的促有絲分裂原和形態(tài)發(fā)生素。其作用具有情境依賴性，因細胞類型、濃度以及其他因子的存在而異。

1、維持多能性與啟動分化： 在胚胎干細胞和誘導(dǎo)多能干細胞中，FGF-4有助于維持多能性，并啟動細胞向特定譜系（特別是中胚層譜系）分化。

2、肢芽發(fā)育： 這是其在胚胎發(fā)育中的經(jīng)典作用。FGF-4在肢芽的頂端外胚層嵴中表達，通過刺激下方間充質(zhì)細胞的增殖，對肢體的生長和模式形成至關(guān)重要。

3、中胚層分化： 驅(qū)動多能細胞向中胚層祖細胞分化，這些祖細胞可進一步分化為心肌細胞、肌肉、骨骼和結(jié)締組織。
